From the moment we booked into The Knowles Arms, the service was world class. The kindness shown particularly towards my grandma and children with allergies was lovely to see. My grandma, has dementia and it can sometimes be a little challenging and requires extra patience. Our waitress, a lovely lady whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, was an absolute angel. She was so calm, patient and understanding with us. There was no hint of frustration, only genuine care and a desire to make our experience enjoyable. This meant the world to us and allowed us to relax and actually enjoy our meal. Which is very rare, it can often be a tiring and stressful experience taking my grandma and two young kids out. The food was also delicious, as it has been every time I’ve visited. However, it was the unparalleled service, and specifically the kindness shown by that wonderful lady, that truly made our visit memorable.

We had a lovely family meal with fantastic service. Marc was allocated to serve our large group of 16 and he was phenomenal. His manner with the children in the group was brilliant, he treated them amazingly. Absolute credit to your establishment! Thankyou Mac from everyone !

Enjoyed a lovely meal here last night on the Wednesday 'dine out' menu - 3 courses for 2 people 40 (20pp). Absolute bargain especially for the quality and portion sizes. Service was great too, thank you to the lovely lady who served us. Will definitely be back soon to try other items on the menu.

We came to the Ego in Blackburn. What a lovely atmosphere. The staff were all very attentive. I would just like to say a young gentleman called Marc served us. His table presence was second to none. My husband and I decided last minute on Sunday 30th March to treat ourselves to dinner out. Mothers Day. Who does that? Us apparently. The restaurant was mega busy but had a great atmosphere. The team looking after us were fantastic. They found us a quiet table and lit a candle for us. Dan, Holly & Eve, despite being run ragged all evening, looking after tables of yummy mummies with hyperactive, shrieking children, took the time to chat with us and seemed genuinely pleased when we said how much we were enjoying the evening. They were lovely and couldn't have been more professional. They are a credit to you. My husband is a veggie so he had some plant based nonsense or other. I dunno, I wasn't paying attention. I had the fillet steak. OMG! It was amazing! I have eaten in Michelin starred restaurants and 5 star hotels the world over and I can honestly say that was perfection! Give that chef a raise. The grilled mushroom was missing, so I asked about it and as if by magic, a beautifully prepared, juicy mushroom was served to the table within minutes. No bother. Thank you for having us and for looking after us so beautifully. See you again soon. Jane & Mark xx
